QUALITY SLEEP BEGINS
WITH THE BEST PILLOW
The Natural Wool Company is owned and managed by experts with years of experience in the wool industry. Bringing their first bedding product to market via the High Country Pillow is just the beginning.
The High Country Pillow is manufactured in the USA and has been well received by hospitality and wholesale clients, and is now available to the retail customer.
THE NATURAL CHOICE
A bird found wool knopps at The Natural Wool Company headquarters and created a beautiful tapestry for nesting their family. Instinctively, the bird surrounded their home with the warm, healthy, and natural choice — wool.
PHILIPPA WRIGHT MNZM
Philippa is the Managing Director of Wright Wool, an independent wool broker based in Waipukurau, Central Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Her commitment to wool started at childhood and lead her to actively campaign for the use of wool as a sustainable, ecofriendly solution via speaking engagements and through her executive position with The Campign for Wool. Philippa has also served on numerous New Zealand and global associations.
In 2019 Philippa was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honors list and made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the wool industry and sustainability.
Ivan, co-owner with wife Leah Phillips, regularly visits New Zealand to source wool yarns for their custom area rug company called Delos.
Through Ivan’s travels to New Zealand, it became apparent that wool has far more to offer than beauty alone. After understanding its inherent attributes (flame retardant, high R value, ability to clean the air, prevents mold and mildew by managing moisture), Ivan chose to insulate their historic home in with the same wool pearls that can be found in The Natural Wool Company’s pillows. Ivan’s passion for wool continues as he makes more wool products for the U.S. market.
Leah Augustine Phillips is co-owner of Delos with husband Ivan Phillips. Delos is an American manufacturer of custom area rugs for the hospitality and residential markets.
Leah wrote and has presented the IDCEC-approved course Dyed-in-the-Wool on behalf of the Campaign for Wool New Zealand, initiated by HRH The Prince of Wales to better understand and initiate natural solutions. While raising awareness among architects and interior designers about the unique, natural and sustainable benefits of wool, it became apparent that there was a need for more access to wool products for throughout the homes in the US such as wool pillows.
